Sari Sari Falls

The end of our hike brought us here, Sari Sari Falls. We were able to swim in the pool below the fall, which was quite intense. Just being in the vicinity meant being blasted by water vapor, which is why I don’t have any decent photos of it any closer. A few people actually swam behind the falls and felt the massive force of the falling water. Very neat.

The Path to Sari Sari Falls

A typical view on the hike up to Sari Sari falls in Dominica. It was a very neat little hike, up and down the valley side along the water, with a couple crossings. Coming from Los Angeles, any kind of physical activity in that humidity is uncomfortable. I actually dropped 7 pounds after returning from this vacation.

Room with a View

Slight obscured but fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean from our cabin room at the Jungle Bay resort on Dominica. Unfortunately, the sun rises were also blocked by the trees (you might see in another photo), as well as a pretty neat lightning storm that occurred over the ocean one evening.

The Road around Dominica

This a typical road around the island of Dominica. In fact, it is practically the only road until you get into town. In true island fashion, you get used to speeding past oncoming traffic with mere inches to spare and a friendly beep of the horn.
